And the MCTRA Brings Home the Bacon

With some $4 million up for grabs at the United States Team Roping Championship Finals in Oklahoma City last week, my friends — two farmers from Pomeroy, Ohio — took home their share of the pot in the #8 roping.

James and Roger Cotterhill and their team of mares that they bred, raised, and trained will be hauling home checks good for $14,000 a piece today after they finished second out of 292 teams.

To the great guys that gave me my first “marketing gig” as the marketing director for their fictional Meigs County Team Ropers Association, I salute you, and I’m glad you got a piece of that pie!
