NCHA Open Horse of the Year: Rollz Eh

Rollz Eh (Rollz Royce x This Cats Smilen) claimed the 2025 NCHA Open Horse of the Year title after amassing 798 points throughout the season. The 2021 mare is owned by Billy Wolf of Wolf Livestock in Whitesboro, Texas, and is shown by NCHA $11 Million Rider Austin Shepard.

Rollz Eh first made waves in the cutting horse pens in 2024 at the NCHA Futurity, where her second-place finish in the Open Futurity earned more than $470,000 in earnings and incentives. She carried that momentum into 2025 with a standout year marked by consistent, high level performances.

Throughout the season, Rollz Eh earned top placings at premier cutting horse events, including the Augusta Futurity, Ike Derby, Cattlemen’s Derby, Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association Derby and Stakes, Cotton Stakes, Brazos Bash, and West Texas Derby. Her biggest wins of the year included a victory at the NCHA Super Stakes Open Derby, which added $73,356 to her earnings, and a third-place finish at the NCHA Open Derby, worth an additional $38,837.

By year’s end, Rollz Eh accumulated $736,412 in lifetime earnings, according to QData

Billy Wolf also placed three additional top 50 horses in the 2025 NCHA Open Horse of the Year standings. Kittenish finished sixth with 336 points, Pink Floydd earned 242 points for 15th place, and Martinis Gotcha tied for 16th with 240 points.

Rollz Eh’s success continues the legacy of her sire, Rollz Royce, who ranked among the top five in the NCHA Horse of the Year standings for three consecutive seasons. He finished fourth in 2018, fifth in 2019, and fourth again in 2020 before retiring to the breeding shed after earning more than $353,000. His accolades include the 2018 NCHA Open Super Stakes Reserve Championship, the 2019 NCHA Summer Spectacular Open Classic Championship and the 2019 NCHA Super Stakes Open Classic Championship.

NCHA reports Boomereyious has earned more than $295,000 in NCHA earnings and played a major role in Anderson’s exceptional 2025 season. Anderson earned more than $121,000 during the year and finished fourth in the standings for top NCHA Amateur riders. She previously claimed the No. 1 Amateur rider title in 2024 after earning more than $156,000.
