No Markers, No Problem

If you’re short on orange traffic cones to use as arena markers, don’t despair. Round up empty gallon-size plastic jugs (milk or juice jugs work well), fill them with water, add a few drops of red food coloring for greater visibility (if desired), screw on caps (or seal with duct tape, as shown), and presto—instant markers!

Tip: If you’ll be using the markers in below-freezing temps, leave a few inches of air space at the top, to accommodate expansion of water as it freezes.
