The Ultimate X Showdown, a contest that pairs off-the track Thorougbreds with barrel racing trainers in a 100-day training period, will take place September 5 in Negley, Ohio. The event’s goal is to increase the marketability of smaller Thoroughbreds that might excel in barrel racing. At the final event 15 teams will compete in two barrel runs and a pattern event.
